Aurelio Voltaire is sometimes described as a modern-day Renaissance man. Voltaire is his stage name and to say he is talented beyond this realm is an understatement. Not only is he a talented singer and performer, but he is also a creator of comic books, animation, films, toys, and home décor. Here at Dragon Con he is a sort of macabre folk hero. The concerts he performs at Dragon Con are standing room only, what is incredible is there are Klingons, stormtroopers, fairies, elves, steampunk,  princesses, Barbies, wrestlers, and Trekkies among the cosplays one sees in attendance in the large audience. Everyone is there simply to enjoy the music and it is an amazing show.

Voltaire and a guitar and a mic, that is all there is and that is all that is needed. The audience in attendance is ready for his unique style to make them have a great time. He is entertaining and it is all for the love of art.  The crowd goes wild for the new song he played titled It’s Always Wednesday, especially when they realize it is about Wednesday Addams. It will be on the new album he is making. The newest album recently released is titled The Black Labyrinth/ A Requiem for the Goblin King, it is out now and is a 20-song musical journey to honor his musical hero David Bowie.  Anyone a fan or not a fan of the movie Labyrinth should check the album out because they will not be disappointed.  Thank you to Voltaire for a great concert, it made Dragon Con even more special.
