INDIE20 is quickly becoming one of the hottest lineups for the summer festival season. With both tiers of early bird tickets already sold-out they continue to add some of the UK and Ireland’s top talent to the bill.
Always known for providing a stage for the rising talent in Ireland, this year they add pop-folk duo Hudson Taylor, Belfast’s notorious rap group Kneecap, Dundalk’s shoegazing post-punk Just Mustard, Northern Irish singer-songwriter Lilla Vargen and Dublin’s own Orla Gartlan. Among the stars making the trip arcoss the Irish Sea are Tom Walker, Tom Grennan (new single “This is the Place” out now) while The Lathums make their festival debut.
These new additions join headliners Stereophonics, Sigrid and The Streets for INDIE20. Welsh rockers Feeder also make their much awaited return to Mitchelstown. Bolstering the lineup also are Irish festival favorites King Kong Company and alt-metal’s finest, Therapy? Complementing them and what is shaping up to be INDIE’s biggest ever bill to date are; The Hunna, Ryan McMullan, The Amazons, Biig Piig, Aimee, Joel Corry, Regard, Riton, The Scratch, Moncrieff, Kawala, The Sherlocks, Luz, Stephen James Smith and Alex Gough.
INDIE has become of Ireland’s standout festivals, since 2006 they continue to go from strength to strength always looking to improve and enhance the festival goers experience. This year sees the introduction of the new GREEN Campsite in an effort to manage the festival space better and improve the experience for all. Admission to the GREEN Campsite can be obtained after buying a standard weekend ticket and then contacting Pamper the Camper or Festi-Huts (contact details on the festival website). This will provide access to the GREEN Campsite and to the VIP Bar in the Main Arena.
