Genre-flitting outfit Son Lux recently released their fourth album ‘Bones’ via Glassnote. Album standout track ‘You Don’t Know Me’ now has it’s own video. And it is a bit sinister. In a pastel coloured-Stepford Wives-religious cult kinda way. The video stars actress Tatiana Maslany of ‘Orphan Black’ fame. ‘Orphan Black’ is apparently popular on Netflix, not that I’d know, using it mainly for watching Jean Claude Van Damme films and ‘Adventure Time’. But I digress…
Video and track are definitely worth checking out, Maslany playing both a dead-inside partner in a relationship and spooky cult leader while wearing FANTASTIC socks. Really, look out for them. Also, the way she mouths the haunted vocals of the track is spine tingling. And those eyes….
The video was created by Son Lux collaborators The Made Shop and directed by Nathan Johnson.
Son Lux will be playing pretty much everywhere in Europe from August onwards. If your country uses the Euro and they’re not playing near you, let them know.
