Through the power of TikTok, it seems Leah Kate has managed to transform from a viral Internet star to a successful pop artist, selling out the first London night of her headline tour.
Many may be quick to dismiss the rise of artists getting their start on social media, but Leah Kate proves she has what it takes to make waves in the music scene. Kicking the night off with ‘Life Sux’, followed by ‘Alive and Unwell’, Kate explores themes of heartbreak and mental wellbeing to a crowd of teens and 20-somethings who gleefully sing along and hold their phones up high. Continuing the night with fan-favourite, ‘F U Anthem‘, Kate combines sharp vocals, dynamic guitar riffs and colourful, yet sentimental, lyrics.
With a young crowd supporting her both online and in-person, strong pop vocals, and relatable songs, it won’t be long until Leah Kate stamps her mark on the pop music scene.
