Glasgow quartet The Snuts have released the video for “Fatboy Slim” thier lead single from debut full length “Mixetape EP” which will be released on Friday the 13th of March on Parlophone Records.
Directed by the award-winning filmmaker Cassidy Burcher and set on Brighton Beach, the video pays homage to Brighton legend Fatboy Slim’s lairy beach parties. Speaking of the track lead singer Jack Cochrane said ‘The song is a nod to the nostalgic subculture of live music across the UK in the 90s and similar decades’.
The track certainly brings a throwback vibe, with a sound soaked in 90’s UK nostalgia. With a beat that would fit right into a Fatboy slim track and vocals dressed in Fila runners and plaid shirt. This kind of theme is strong throughout The Snuts music, songs that taste of vintage brit-pop but with a modern sauce. Even their gigs have a more pre-match drink up atmosphere than the run of the mill good night of music.
With nothing less than a phenomenal rise since the release of live favorite ‘Juan Belmonte’ and an avid adoring fan base, The Snuts have been garnering a massive following in the UK with support from the likes of BBC 6 Music, Radio 1, Radio X, Absolute Radio, Independent, Clash, Notion, Far Out Magazine and Dork Magazine.
