The season kicks off with horror- Michael Pink’s Dracula. This is a great way to spend the Halloween holiday. This haunting tale dances to life with all the seducing macabre spirit of the masterpiece. This will get blood pumping throughout the theater. The Nutcracker is a tradition for The Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre. Pittsburgh brings in a lot of its own unique influence throughout their performance of The Nutcracker. An all-American sport is presented in in a new light as a ballet. Presenting America 250 with the PBT Orchestra. This is an all-American celebration of baseball, a sport that is fun and exhilarating. This has the excellency of the PBT Orchestra to accompany the show. This will be an unusual delight to all one’s ballet dreams. America 250 with the PBT Orchestra will be an experience of joy to all in attendance.
This spring season has Spring Mix: Premieres that will delight and be an awakening to all who attend. This will include two Pittsburgh premieres. Aaron Copland’s Appalachian Spring and Angels in the Architecture that is choreographed by Mark Godden. This is going to be a fantastic Spring!
The Dream Season ends with an eclectic dream from William Shakespeare! William Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream with the PBT Orchestra this is a whimsical walk through a dream of ballet excellence. The accompanying by PBT Orchestra will be a dream musical score which will be unforgettable. William Shakespeare is gone but the writings are coming to life in many capacities, and this ballet will be a beautiful dream to behold. This whimsical ballet will be delightful. This enticing and fun ending to a season of dreaming will be a good dream for all.
