Following the successful release of her seventh studio album, Casa Guilhermina, Ana Moura continued her European tour at the Islington Assembly Hall.
With a fairly stripped back stage, which included a traditional Portuguese guitarist, Ana Moura made sure all eyes were on her. After opening with a short interlude, followed by ‘Janela Escancarada’, Moura paused with a smile, seemingly taking in the crowd’s cheers and warm welcoming. Continuing the night with strong vocals and beautiful solos from chordophone guitarist, Moura stayed true to her Fado roots throughout, even when songs from her latest album leaned towards the pop and R&B genres.
With her album staying at #1 in her native Portugal, Ana Moura is one to watch for 2023.
