American pop-duo consisting of sisters Alyson and Amanda Michalka played The Academy last night as part of their european tour promoting lastest EP release “Sanctuary” .
The five song EP showcases the evolution of the sound that the sisters have come through over their lengthy career that launched while they were adolesents, known for hits like “Potential Breeakup Song”, “Rush” and “Chemicals React”. A more mature and modern pop sound, with plenty of 80’s inspired synth and smooth harmonies in songs like “Church”
