Burgettestown, PA – One warm summer evening at Starlake Pavillion in Burgettestoen, Pennsylvania, a performance came to completely impress the huge audience. What tour one may ask, well, the bands on this tour are MARYLIN MANSON and ROB ZOMBIE FREAKS ON PARADE. Accompanying them on this tour is ORGY and THE HU. The first band to take to the stage to entertain the large audience is ORGY. This is a band that can handle the stage. A great sound and nice lighting carried throughout their time on stage. The lighting colors flicker through a range of colors. The colors include green, red, blue, white, and yellow. The band is energetic on stage, and the band is full of good musicians. The simple stage set suits them and the white backdrop with black lettering is wonderful. The band focuses on the music and that is why the audience is there for just a night of great music. The drum in this band keeps the beat going and that is beautiful. A beautiful way to begin this musical journey.
As more people enter the pavilion, THE HU hit the stage, this Mongolian band is magnificent. Their music is rich in their heritage, and it is like listening to a far away time and place with their heart-pounding heavy music. THE HU are intriguing and charming. This band looks and feels like they are having the time of their life every time they play. A simple large backdrop of black with gold ombre-styled lettering is the perfect match for the band’s charismatic performance. There is good audience participation and audience response while the band plays with an energy that seems like it is channeled from a long-ago place. The sound is good and the lighting floats through orange, red, blue, white, green, and yellow. A great band and a great time is had by all who are consumed by the music.
A plethora of people ascended to enjoy the music of MARYLIN MANSON, who took to the stage with a large roar from the crowd. The lighting is flickering through the colors of pink, purple, blue, white, red, orange, and yellow. There is some strobe effect with the lighting during the performance. The sound is good. The audience responds wonderfully. It is a good performance.
The time has come for ROB ZOMBIE to hit the stage, and everyone is ready for this legend. ROB ZOMBIE is one of the most theatrical performers with so much energy it is frightening, in a good way. There is a stage upon the stage and so he begins high and it is a wonderful entrance. There are also two extra-large inflatable devils on each side of the stage with eyes that light up the night. There is a backing video screen with various imagery to match whichever song is played. The sound is incredible and his energy level is overwhelming. The lighting matches the stage performance going through red, pink, white, blue, green, orange, purple, and yellow, with strobe effects throughout the performance. This is a theatrical delight with aliens, giant robots, large devil puppet-like marionette, pyro in the form of fire, as well as colored fire, sparks flowing down, confetti and snow. This show has everything and then some. Hits such as Dragula, Living Dead Girl, 1965, and a new track from the new record were highlights of the night. The performance was fantastic.
