Pittsburgh, PA, USA- A special show from SEVENDUST on a cool night in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. A crowd is waiting to get into Stage AE in Pittsburgh, PA, USA. This is an acoustic tour SEVENDUST is doing across the land. Stripped down shows are great but not too many bands will tour an acoustic show. A fitting title for this tour, “SEVENDUST– SOUTHSIDE DOUBLE-WIDE U.S. TOUR”, this is one not to be missed. The opener for this show is CORY MARKS, a Canadien musician and songwriter whose country-rock style fits perfectly within the realms of this acoustic tour. The acoustic tour is a way to show how talented musicians are while being in a room with an instrument that is unplugged. This tour shows the camaraderie and the chemistry the band must create music. The tour is perfect.

The opening act is CORY MARKS who enters a stage alone with an acoustic guitar. The crowd is excited about the music to begin. CORY MARKS mix of rock ‘n‘roll and country are reminiscent of the great country artist such as Merle Haggard, and the rock/metal of Ozzy Osbourne. Red, Yellow, Blue, and white lighting enhances the intimacy of the stage. There is an extremely light fog on the stage that makes it almost sacred. There is a good feeling throughout the audience. The crowd reacts well to the acoustic stylings of CORY MARKS. Songs include: “Blame it on the Devil”, “Whiskey River” (a pure country delight), and a special cover of the Bryan Adams song “Cuts Like a Knife”. There is good response from the audience to each song performed. CORY MARKS newly released album is titiled: Sorry For Nothing. CORY MARKS performance gets the audience ready for SEVENDUST.

A short intermission for the stage to finish getting ready for the band to take to the stage. SEVENDUST enters the stage to applause, and a roar form the audience. The stage is simple stools to sit on while playing and singing, there is a string of multi-colored Christmas string lights wrapped around the microphone stand, and the lighting for the stage includes colors of green, blue, orange, yellow, white, red, and purple. There is a slightly dark peacefulness to the stage. SEVENDUST talks about how they enjoy Pittsburgh, PA, including Primanti’s Brothers sandwiches. The sound is good. The vocals are fantastic and the band is phenomenal. The songs are beautiful in an acoustic set. There is wonderful crowd interaction. The audience responds well to each song. The band has been working on their next album in the studio to be released soon. The song that was a beautiful surprise is a cover from NIN, the song “HURT”, the band did this song justice. This is the highlight of the night. SEVENDUST took on a large venue and made it an intimate show, and it meant so much to the fans who were in attendance. A lovely time is had by all.
