What All Families Need
(even if they don’t realise it) and what we need to pay and use our taxes to provide
For Parents-To-Be and Pregnant Women
- Parents-to-be and pregnant women need a supportive, caring, guiding hand.
- Some people have it from family relatives and their own parents. But not everyone does.
- So we need to be paying and using taxes to train professionals who can provide that support. Community midwives and health visitors.
- And we need to invest in civic institutions and community development professionals, who can try and promote those caring relationships between parents and families. Family centres, community centres.
- And for the generation of parents, who are in a complete mess in their lives – because they were sexually abused as a child, experiencing domestic abuse, in debt, with terrible shit housing, isolated and lacking confidence that any attempt to create a human connection is going to result in a positive experience – we need professionals – who can invest heavily in these individual parents, developing a caring relationship with the parent.
