Set to be released on 11th June 2021, ‘Blue Weekend’ follows an amass of success for the band Wolf Alice, with them having won the Hyundai Mercury Prize in 2018 as well as a GRAMMY nomination for Best Rock Performance in 2016. The band embarked on an 187 date tour for their album ‘Visions of a Life’ which saw them perform on the Pyramid Stage at Glastonbury as well as a sold-out Alexandra Palace in London.
It is then with no doubt that much is expected from the third album, which grew from demos the band created in an Airbnb in Somerset. Here the foursome were able to detach themselves from the frenzied ways of continuous touring and travelling. It was here they were able to reconnect and create what has become ‘Blue Weekend’ which debuts a new fearlessness and exposure from the band that no one has seen from them before.
‘Blue Weekend’ is out on June 11th on CD, DSPs, vinyl and cassette. The track listing as well as the band’s tour dates are below.
- The Beach
- Delicious Things
- Lipstick on The Glass
- Safe from Heartbreak (if you never fall in love)
- How Can I Make It OK?
