Winnie Raeder
Earl’s Court, London

Ahead of the release of her upcoming EP I Could Swim, Winnie Raeder held two performances at the Troubadour. Adorning the walls of the intimate venue are a variety of music icons including Jimi Hendrix and Joni Mitchell, a personal inspiration of Raeder’s. A warm and friendly buzz fills the room as the audience settles in, which grows into a collective cheer as Raeder walks up to the mic. Her effortlessly enchanting vocals swim through the room and instantly captivates the audience in a way that very few artists can. A lyrical rawness unique to Raeder expresses feelings of love and grief, to a degree where Raeder’s experiences become your own.

On the night, Raeder performed fan favourites Baby and A Quiet Wayas well as new material, including Party and I Never Danced, with every song met with a strong round of applause. In between the songs, Raeder’s friendly and charming personality shines through, engaging with the audience comfortably and bantering with her bandmates.

With stunning vocals and emotional lyrics, Raeder would fit in easily with the greats on the Troubadour’s walls.
