The Japanese House at Electric Ballroom, London 19/03/19

The Japanese House wrapped up her latest tour in London’s iconic venue Electric Ballroom last Tuesday.

The artist, born Amber Bain, released her debut album “Good At Falling” earlier this month – a dreamy synth-pop project which finally helped the world understand who The Japanese House is.

Bain walked on stage in an oversized shirt, playing one of her older songs, “Face Like Thunder”, followed by tracks from the new album. The blue lights perfectly matched her aesthetic (“Cool Blue”, anyone?) and watching her set was like being in a different dimension: we left Camden and entered The Japanese House’s world. And what a wonderful world it is. Even when she, accompanied by her band, played sadder songs, the euphoric ambiance never left.

Highlight of the night? Definitely “Maybe You’re the Reason”, there’s just something special about that song.

Although the tour is now over, make sure to listen to The Japanese House’s album “Good At Falling”, available on all streaming platforms.
