Quickly growing to be one of Ireland’s favorite music festivals, Indiependence has made a name for itself in recent years being able to compete with the larger festivals when it comes to headline stock.
Last year seen Bastille, Catfish and The Bottlemen and Biffy “f@$kin” Clyro headline the Cork based festival with many more notable acts throughout the weekend including Lewis Capaldi, Nothing But Thieves and Gavin James.
Standing largely as an independent festival, the organizers of Indie rely on having strong relationships with acts and fans alike to pull off their yearly showcase. This usually leads to a healthy homegrown roster boosted by some fan-favorite international acts. 2020 is no different with the headliners coming in the form of Welsh rockers Stereophonics, British alt Hip-Hop group The Streets and rising Norwegian star Sigrid.
Also added to the initial line-up are previous headliners Feeder, Irish festival favourites King Kong Company, Irish veterans Therapy?, The Hunna, Ryan McMullan, The Amazons, Biig Piig, Aimee, Joel Corry, The Scratch, Kawala, The Sherlocks, Luz and Alex Gough.
INDIE20 will be a strictly over-18s event and will see the addition of the new GREEN Campsite in an effort to manage the festival space better and improve the experience for all. Admission to the GREEN Campsite can be obtained after buying a standard weekend ticket and then contacting Pamper the Camper or Festi-Huts (contact details on the festival website). This will provide access to the GREEN Campsite and to the VIP Bar in the Main Arena.
