Combining a powerful vocalist, some of the best guitar work I’ve heard in a while and an excellent drummer, Paradigm’s EP Realize is simultaneously a love letter to Alt-Rock and a great work in its own right.
It seems almost impossible for so much variety to be presented in only four tracks; however, Paradigm have managed to showcase their varied style and encompass a generation of music in just over seventeen minutes. From the heavy-hitting beat in the opening track Desire to the slow, melodic rhythm of The Miracle, each song on the track takes a different route, and each finds success in doing so. For my part, I couldn’t help but find myself falling in love with Strangers, an anthem which won’t fail to draw you in and having you moving to the smooth, melodic beat.
