This is a pensive album, floating somewhere between EM, ambient, film score and experimental. Full of changing texture, this straddles the worlds between synthesiser and guitar, featuring slide guitar, plucked guitar and vocal samples triggered by one or the other. A dreamy creation where patterns shift and drift, sequences repeat and tones stretch. Some skittering microtones appear, some strings are bowed and drifting textures of the sort normally found in bands of Tangerine Dream’s ilk swell. Multi-tracked tones and semi-tones ride ripples and swathes of synth.
The whole is unreal and other-worldly yet rooted in deep texture and thought.
