International DJ and Producer Deamau5 (plus special guests) will play Cork’s annual musical showcase on June 19th brought to you by Aiken Promotions and One Day.
Joel Zimmerman, more commonly known as deadmau5 (pronounced ‘dead mouse’), is one of the world’s most respected electronic music producers of modern times. The Canadian released his first album in 2006 and has since gone on to release 8 studio albums, gaining international success with singles like “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff,” as well as “Professional Griefers,””Sofi Needs A Ladder” and “I Remember,”. He has being rewarded with this success by being nominated for no less than 6 Grammy’s and winning 3 Juno Awards for Best Dance Recording.
2019 seen him land his first ever film score credit, scoring the soundtrack to Jonas Akerlund’s directed spy thriller Polar with its soundtrack released on mau5trap. Most recently his label mau5trap released here’s the drop!, an album of remixes of material from his 2018 orchestral album where’s the drop? For it, plenty of revered tastemakers have been tapped for their talents to make this remix album a cerebral journey through sound ranging from deadmau5’ most popular tracks (“strobe,” “monophobia”) to the more obscure (“hr 8939 cephei,” “caritas”) all with a twist.
