Bombay Bicycle Club at Manchester, Victoria Warehouse

What a delightful evening packed full of musical talent at a sold out Victoria Warehouse. A couple thousand people packed like sardines waiting in anticipation for the headliners Bombay Bicycle Club. Thankfully there was plenty of music lovers that headed down to the venue early to grab a few drinks, a spot at the barrier to catch the 2 supporting acts, Liz Lawrence and The Big Moon

Bombay Bicycle Club are back on a 13 date tour across the UK and killin’ it! Their return to the stage has been eagerly awaited by fans and it’s great to see them back doing what they do best.

They were the soundtrack to our teenage youth, all of this joy was relived the other night in Manchester with more than enough people to feel how good it is to have the band back, and yell lyrics towards the stage at the 4 piece!

A red haze of smoke and light drowned the stage and 4 shadows wandered on. Melodic soundscapes bellowed through the venue, a keyboard and drums along with, beautiful and calming synth noises, paired with the stunning voice of Juliette Jackson, what a cracking set from The Big Moon!

They kick off their experimental selection of music with their 2015 wild country-esque track Sucker, then following on with Cupid, Juliette asks the audience to help out, they were happy to oblige. The ladies included a wonderful rendition of Praise You (Fatboy Slim) which got the crowd pumped for Bombay, it’s going to be a good year for The Big Moon and the response they received from the crowd was very welcoming!
