Iceland-based electronic composer Ben Frost boasts a huge back catalogue of collaborations and producer credits since he started his music career in 2001. From stage productions to video game soundtracks, Frost has composed a wide range of music and has become one of the most recognised electronic producers as a result. He released the acclaimed A U R O R A last year, which appeared on many best-of-2014 lists.
Frost has now released new single Rare Decay, which was previously only available as an exclusive track on the Japanese version of A U R O R A. Like the material on the album, the single features harsh, industrial synths and dark drums from Guardian Alien’s Greg Fox. An accompanying video created by visual artist MFO is available to watch on YouTube. Check it out below.
Frost also recently composed the soundtrack to Sky Atlantic’s TV drama Fortitude starring Christopher Ecclestone and Michael Gambon.
He returns to the UK on 30th April performing A U R O R A at London’s Oval Space with visuals from MFO, as well as support from Laurel Halo and Jacques Gaspard Biberkopf.
