Make every opportunity to talk to everyone that you meet. Even if the person who you talk to thinks you're a complete freak for talking to them. There's lots you can learn, there's associations and friendships to be made, networks to be expanded. The world is full of people stuck in a dull minded way of thinking. Their minds are closed, their joie de vive and their creativity lost.

Open your mouth and start asking questions and giving opinions. You can't lose. If the person doesn't respond or tells you to fuck off for being a nosy bastard then you've lost nothing, if they engage you in conversation you've made the best of your life at that moment. More often than not you will not only improve the quality of your own life by doing this but you'll also add a spark of light into the life of a person who was going through the motions and was not really expecting this.
