Ok, so the blurb describes this as "sixteen brief and inconsequential images... glimpses of scenes flickering by...". Errrrr. OK. Right. The opening track opens with chants that sound like they could be part of a Mighty Boosh song. No major issue with that - I personally heart the music genius of Howard Moon and Vince Noir. However, if you get over this then you will find sleek rhythms and laid back grooves combined with astral like chimes. The chanting and cooing vocals appear throughout, levels of Mighty Boosh-ness varying.

There are bongo drums a plenty, pingy pongy sounds, bird tweets, tings, tongs, claps, techno vibes, electronic beats - forgive my description but I see no point in trying to be technical when some of the sounds used are quite twee and some sound like they come from my Yamaha keyboard that I keep under my bed gathering dust at my dad's house. That said, some of the tracks sound more, I guess, normal, if you will. Laid back grooves with vocals. Not bad, but I prefer something different.

It may seem like I am being rather critical of this album - I am actually not. Against my better judgement I actually like the fact that this guy isn't afraid to try something that goes against the grain. I can't say "new" as this has all been done before in some guise. What I can say is that it sparked my interest and therefore made me listen and then I actually discovered I liked it! Hurrah for randomness!
