Last Of Many is the debut album from The Foxes. Produced by John Cornfield (whose previous work includes Oasis, Stone Roses and Supergrass), the album is being released on the band’s own label, Room 10 Records.

Theirs is a stripped back and relatively retro sound at times (‘Sweet Little Wonder’), which isn’t a bad thing at all. ‘Suzy’ has a catchy guitar riff and chorus and one which stuck in my head for days as did ‘Run’. ‘The Sad Thing’ has a country feel and is aptly mellow, given the title.

Deliciously whimsical and twee in part, this is radio friendly pop. It’s easy to see why Radio 2 have supported them. It’s not perfect (but then what is) and there are some tracks that sound a bit samey but this is their first offering. If you fancy listening to something a little different and retro rather than your stereotypical pop-punk sound then I recommend a listen.
