The Foxes
DEPRESSION, JOY AND A MOMENT OF FAME EP

The Foxes have had it tough, sleeping on friends’ floors, starting their own label and driving a battered van. Or so says the press release (given some of the reviews I have done recently, I am rather nervous of believeing any of these press releases…).

If they have, it certainly doesn't show on this 4 track EP. The EP seems to welcome summer – it is bright, cheerful, with harmonised vocals, acoustic guitars and an altogether warm feeling.

All 4 tracks are excellent – I can't fault any of them. All have catchy guitar riffs and pulsating drum beats but it is the addition of harmonies and backing vocvals from Betman, Douglas and Wilde to Thomas' sometimes spritely, sometimes melancholic, vocals that give this EP that 'je ne said quoi' – apologies, I've always wanted to get that into a review! Anyway, out of all the artists and bands I have reviewed so far this year – this is the one that has left me wanting more the most. So come on The Foxes – gimme more!!!
