CASUALTIES & TRAGEDIES

How can an artist who is versatile enough to move from shock horror anthems to rock n roll still only be playing small venues???

Listen to the album and there are the odd Weds 13 trait lyrics in there but they are so honed to rock you may miss them. The beat is fast and catchy and extremely good. Not anything not done before but this album has been done well. Any hardened rock enthusiast picking through the bones will I am sure pick out all of the influence bands in here but it does not detract from a great first album.

I challenge anyone to listen to stand-out track and album title Casualties & Tragedies and not tap, hum or sing along.

Again for a rock act the traditional homage is paid to women and whisky. With a touch of good old LA thrown in (Los Angel-less is the track on here). And the not so good side of women on Tell It Like It Is.

Gunfire 76 will not be everyone’s cup of bourbon and I am intrigued to see if we get a follow up album and the progression. The live show I predict will be interesting as Mr 13 has a make-over and back to his roots attitude for this one.

Although the album title relates to the songs the only casualty is not giving it airplay and the tragedy is missing the tour. Catch them live in December supported by Bullets & Octane. See the man from North Carolina in a new light. You may be pleasantly surprised.
