Wednesday 13 BLOODWORK EP GLOBAL MUSIC 16.3.09 @www.vanguard-online.co.uk This limited edition EP from Wednesday 13 features six tracks and also some previously unreleased tracks. This EP also marks the start of a nation wide tour. The EP kicks off with the track ‘B-Movie Babylon’ which showcases the voice of Wednesday 13. Well not so much a voice, as he growls his way through the whole song. The song is complete with cheesy so-called dark lyrics, which don’t appear to be about very much at all. The second track ‘Return of The Living Dead’ is pretty much the same sort of track. In the background there is some sort of weird synth going on which seems to harp back to this idea of zombie b-movies. The last track on the album ‘Skeletons A.D’ is more subdued than the others. But still has the harsh vocals from Wednesday 13. All in all the EP sounds pretty much similar to a lot of the other stuff he has already released. Wednesday 13 is definitely for all those ‘rebellious’ teenagers at school who hang around in dark corners. Meaning its not particularly grown up music. Harsh, but true.
