Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly
SEARCHING FOR THE HOWS AND WHY

Get Cape. Wear Cape. Fly, or the Cape as I like to call him, follows-up his critically-acclaimed debut with Searching For The Hows and Why.

Opening track ‘Let The Journey Begin’, gently sets the listener off on a journey which will pass through pointless consumerism, bitter sex, with a short pit stop at fundamentalist religion.

It’s worth noting that the majority of the popular music press now regard the Cape’s penchant for tackling tough issues to be a negative thing. That a 21 year-old musician has chosen to use his platform to engage his listeners’ grey matter should be applauded. [APPLAUSE]

As should his undeniable ability to craft infectiously joyous music. [APPLAUSE] Singles ‘Find The Time’ and ‘Keep Singing Out’ act as light relief to his more thought-provoking material. ‘This Could Be All’ is truly splendid! Oh and before I forget, the barn-storming ‘Waiting For The Monster To Drown’ is available as a free download on the Cape’s website!

“This record is about my ambition, and about where I want to get in the future”

The Cape isn’t pretending to have all the answers. However if he continues to mix his über-sharp beats with his burgeoning ability for intelligent song writing, it is clear that like his local hero Billy Bragg, he is going to be around for a good while yet! Thank goodness.
