Will Richards READY TO TALK NOW WR RECORDS 24.03.08 @www.vanguard-online.co.uk I was looking forward to listening to this album as Will Richards lists Jeff Buckley as one of his influences. With this in mind I started listening to the album with an open mind, and I have to say I was pleased with what I heard. The opening track Be A Better Man seems to have general Irish folk feel, and seems to be one of the stand out tracks on the album. Perhaps at times this album can be quite depressing as in the sing I Didn’t Want To Kill Them. However by the next song the mood has picked up and Richard’s goes back into his singsong vibe. It all gets quite rock ‘n’ roll on The Colour Of Money. The last track on the album, She’s In Love With Me, winds off the album wonderfully, a great love song! The whole album has a lovely feeling to it and although it is mainly a guitar based album, it has plenty of variety. A great album to relax and unwind to!
