Loxodrome have been around since 2003 and are made up of 4 (one of them left) musicians from Austria. They have toured with the likes of Dog Eat Dog, Such a Surge, Letzte Instanz and many more.

Loxodrome’s album is packed full of heavy riffs and great vocal performances. Although it can be cliché at times, it gives you exactly what you would expect from a band of this genre. The track Open Doors showcases these heavy riffs perfectly, and gives perfectly chance for any listener to sing-a-long.

The comparisons between Loxodrome and System of a Down are easily made from the first listen of this song. However Loxodrome definitely break away from this further into the album, as they shape their own sound. The track Hard as Bone stands out on the album as a highly infectious tune, along with That’s Me; with its dirty guitar riffs.

Although it is not to my taste, I do think this band defiantly does have an appeal. However I think some of the tracks can be a little repetitive and this may be their downfall.
